Karen is an ethnic tibetan-birman group of 4 to 5 millions people in conflit with the army since 1948. Karens are know for the agriculture, weaving and their work with silver. They perpetuate an ancient work with pure 99% silver, entirely manual with rudimentary tools made by themselves. The silver pureness makes the metal softer and the jewelry is created by cutting, striking, hammering, twisting, braiding and soldering.
